Ashland Fire Jam
The Ashland, Oregon Fire Jam is an even that takes place just about every Friday night after dark. We have the plaza to ourselves for the night and we use it to put on a show for the residents and visitors in the city. We not only have the plaza and fire permits, but we also have the sound permit, so performers and musicians are more than welcome to come and jam with us. Music ranges from drums to guitars, banjos to accordions and everything in between. It is a laid back sort of event, where performers can work on getting used to using fire, performing in front of a crowd, or polishing their performance skills. There’s no judgment or pressure, and all skill levels (above a certain safety requirement) are welcome to join the fun. To register for the permit, anyone with the necessary skills to not completely immolate themselves must show said skills to the permit holder (Josh Sherman) so that he can confirm you for the show and get you onto the permit’s performer listing. He can be reached at josh@fearmyfire.com, his facebook (linked to the right), or by talking to him in person on the plaza on Friday night.
